Corporation (CFETC) was established in 1985 with the approval of
the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation. In 1993,CFETC’s
annual turnover exceeded RMB2 billion, hence becoming one of China’s
top 500 enterprises in the tertiary industry and one of China’s
top 500 enterprises with the largest import and export volume. In
1995, with the approval of the State Development Planning Commission,
CFETC obtained the qualification for undertaking the projects of
purchase with loans from foreign government and began to participate
in the introduction of commodities and technologies for large-scale
projects of the country. As one of the backbone state-owned enterprises,
CFETC was put under the control of the Central Enterprises in 1998.
The headquarters of CFETC is located in Beijing. It set up branch
companies in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hainan, Fujian, Shenzhen
and zhuhai and it is a holding company of some enterprises in
Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Hainan and etc.
It established branches in the US, Belgium, Southeast Asia, Hong
Kong and other countries and regions.
CFETC has relatively complete service functions and enjoys an
A-grade qualification for international tendering as well as the
qualification for the purchase for projects using foreign governmental
loans and the authority to clear customs all over the county.
CFETC’s Distribution Department and Jieda Customs Clearance
Service Center can provide the customers with door to door service,
while CFETC’s Department of Legal Affairs provides legal supports
for the customers to safeguard their rights and interests. CFETC’s
alility to approve visits abroad and invites foreign merchants
to China make the customers’ commercial activities easy and convenient.
